The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child. The baby will join older siblings Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2.
I wish them all the best, but frankly I’m confused at the timing of this pregnancy (warning: frank opinion coming).
The Duke of Edinburgh made it known in May that he was stepping down from public life by the end of the summer. I assume this is why the Cambridges moved to Kensington Palace in January of this year – William and Kate knew they would be needed in London to help take on more work. The wider world was in the dark, but the family knew and plans were already in place to seamlessly phase out the Duke’s working life.
After thinking the Cambridges would be working more, I am absolutely confused by the timing. Is the “workshy” label appropriate for the Duke and Duchess after all?
