The French artist’s work has always been favored by the Danish Royal Family, so the French-born Marie is the perfect fit for this opening!
The exhibition, entitled ‘François Boucher – Fragments of a world picture’ shows Boucher’s best works on paper from private and public collections in France.
From the site:
The exhibit opens in Holtegaard’s beautiful main building from 1757 as its backdrop, the exhibition will provide a rare total impression of 18th century art and architecture.
The exhibition is supported by the Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik Fund (Dronning Margrethe og Prins Henriks Fond). The Foundation supports cultural, scientific and social purposes.
I love the fact that Princess Marie is dressed in a lovely lemon yellow dress to compliment the deep blue walls in the building. As a former designer, I love color combinations like this. Trés jolie!
